The lives of the dragons born outside of Eirenos play out far differently from those of their urban cousins. Although both live in caves adorned with gems, cloths, and other treasures, there are no markets to get their meals or socialize at; no ateliers to learn hobbies through; no forums to debate at or plays and concerts to amuse themselves with.
“As it should be,” say many.
In the eastern lands of Drakien, shadows loom longer. Silence weighs heavier. Roars carry farther.
This is the home of true dragonkind. Those whose riches and meals are won through strength, not charity. Who do not waste their time on petty amusements. For whom words only carry meaning if one has the might to enforce them.
These are the dragons who worship the Great Abyss.
They do not cower when his song pierces the sea and sky. Rather, they tilt their heads back and join their song to his.
